3 Device Permissions & Why We Need Them

SoundShare requests only standard Android permissions strictly necessary to operate audio streaming and haptic feedback:

📡 Nearby Devices & Bluetooth (`BLUETOOTH_SCAN`, `BLUETOOTH_CONNECT`)

Required to discover, pair with, and stream synchronized audio to multiple Bluetooth headphones and speakers simultaneously.

🎙️ Audio Capture (`RECORD_AUDIO`)

Used strictly in real-time RAM for BeatSync rhythm and frequency transient detection. Audio buffers are processed ephemerally in memory and immediately discarded without being stored or transmitted.

⚡ Foreground Service (`FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK`)

Ensures uninterrupted Bluetooth audio sharing and background spatial audio processing when your screen is locked or while multitasking.

📳 Vibration (`VIBRATE`)

Delivers tactile, audio-synchronized haptic feedback in time with musical beats and bass drops.

🔔 Notifications (`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`)

Displays active playback session controls (Play, Pause, Disconnect) in your system notification shade.

4 Third-Party Services & Advertising

SoundShare contains no third-party advertising SDKs, ad-trackers, or data brokers. All spatial DSP and beat detection algorithms execute natively on your Android device.

5 Children's Privacy

SoundShare does not collect any personal data and is completely safe for all audiences, fully complying with COPPA and Google Play family policies.
